On this Friday evening, we are seeing a band of heavy rain moving across the Western Isles in association with a cold front. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph strongest for Uist and Barra. Todays high so far of 9.2C
Overnight – We are going to see spells of showery rain. This at times will merge into some longer spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Some clear spells but the cloud will mostly dominate. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph at times.
Morning and afternoon – Bands of rain will feed across the Western Isles during the entire day. This will be heavy at times and possibly persistent at times. Some hail mixed in and could be thundery at times with the occasional dry slots. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 and 60 mph at times.
Evening – Further rounds of heavy rain. Becoming more showery as the evening goes on. Some dry spots. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.
Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 1C to 10C
