Met Office snow and ice warning for large parts of Mainland Scotland 27th/28th December.

Afternoon all we didn’t get a snow and ice warning for the snow we got overnight which for most is now melting away quickly. However the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice for large parts of Scotland from 15:00 today (Sunday) until 1000 tomorrow (Monday).

The full warning and latests updates can be found here https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/warnings-and-advice/uk-warnings?WT.mc_id=Twitter_Weatherdesk_Enquiries#?date=2020-12-28&id=15bdc2bb-fcc7-494d-a001-de5abda8414f&details

We are likely to see some wintry showers here in the Western Isles but I am not expecting more snowfall on the ground like we have seen today but I will keep you updated if things change.

Please do NOT use Western Isles Weather for the protection of life and property please follow local and national government issued warnings and advice. Please have more than one source for weather information in extreme weather, Such as the Met office.
