Monday’s forecast – Rain and squally showers.

Good evening Western Isles on this Sunday evening we are seeing a mainly dry end to the day. A few scattered showers and a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Todays high of 5.6C

Overnight – We are going to see rain and showers moving across the Western Isles. These will be heavy at times in some spots wintry in nature. A few clear spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Further rounds of rain which will be heavy and possibly wintry in spots. In the breaks in the rain, we are going to see some squally showers. Some occasional sunny spells but for the most part, the cloud will dominate. Winds under 20 mph for most of Lewis and Harris but gusting 40 to 50 mph for Uist and Barra.

Evening – The heavy rain is expected to clear away but in its wake, we are going to see a mixture of clear skies and squally showers. Heavy and wintry at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be from the North and North East. Temps of 1C to 7C
