Good evening and welcome to Sunday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Sunday evening we are seeing some rain and sleet showers. Some snow over higher ground. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds gusting 40 mph and todays high of 5C so far.

A reminder we remain under a SEPA flood alert for the Western Isles. Full details can be found via the SEPA website

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Monday – Low pressure dominates the weather across the UK on Monday. We are going to see early morning heavy rain then some sunshine before showery conditions to end the day. It is going to be another fairly wind day with winds gusting 30 to 40 mph and for Uist and Barra gusting 50 mph. Winds will be from the North and North East. Temps of 2C to 7C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
Tuesday – Low pressure sits out in the North Sea. A slack airflow across the UK. We are going to see rain and showers. Heaviest rain for Uist and Barra. Winds again gusting 20 to 40 mph. Winds will be from the North and North West. Some sunny spells and a cold start to the day. Temps of 2C to 7C
Wednesday – Low pressure still dominates out in the North Sea. Again a slack airflow in the UK with high pressure to the West and lows in the North Sea. A mainly fine and dry day. We are going to see a day of sunshine and scattered showers. Mainly dry and chilly. Lighter winds finally. Winds under 20 mph from the North and North West. Temps of 2C to 7C
