Thursday’s forecast – More cold

Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening we are seeing rain sleet and snow showers. Some frost and ice but mainly a little warmer this evening. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph strongest for Uist and Barra.

Overnight – We are going to see some frost and ice once again. Some rain sleet and snow showers. Some clear skies and variable amounts of cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Temps starting the evening close to freezing but overnight rising to around 5C

Morning and afternoon. – A day of sunshine and wintry showers some of these heavy at times possibly thunder with a chance of hail mixed. At times falling as rain and feeling cold. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Evening – The showers still wintry at times becoming less frequent. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Winds will be from the North and Temps of -1C to. 7C

Some hints in the long range for next week of things staying cold dry and settled. A lot of uncertainty but very unjanuary weather.
