Good morning Western Isles this is your Thursday morning brief

On this Thursday morning, we are seeing a fairly dry start to the day. A few scattered showers mainly as rain but some wintry in nature. Some frost and ice in places. Overnight low of 3.7C

Today – We are going to see a day of sunshine and cloud with some scattered showers. These could be heavy and wintry at times. Becoming more scattered as the day goes on. Any lingering frost and ice should clear away. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Strongest for Uist and Barra. Winds will be from the North and temps of 3C to 8C

New Years Day – Overcast sunny spells and wintry showers.

Saturday – Wintry showers and sunny spells. Cold.

Sunday – Fine dry sunshine and cloud. Icy start.
