Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. This weekend was a beautiful weekend with plenty of blue skies and sunshine. Plenty of frost and ice.
Tuesday – A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Winds will be light under 10 mph. Once more we are going to see another widespread frost and ice. Winds will be variable directions and temps of -3C to 5C
Wednesday – A trailing cold front will move across the Western Isles. This will bring rain to all parts later in the day. This rain will be heavy at times. It will be a cold frosty and icy start once again. Winds will gust to 30 mph later in the day. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 1C to 6C
Thursday – Another cold day with sunny spells and wintry showers. Some of these falling as snow for a time. Winds will be from the North gusting 20 to 30 mph. Temps of -1C to 6C
Friday – Staying cold with sunshine and wintry showers. Mainly overcast. Winds will be from the North and North East. Temps of -1C to 6C
Next weekend – Looking like it could turn milder with a risk of rain.
