Good afternoon and welcome to Thursday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Thursday afternoon we are seeing rain sleet and snow showers move across the Western Isles. These heavy in places. In between a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Today’s high of 4.6C so far and winds gusting 20 to 30 mph.

Western Isles 3 day weather forecast
Friday – high pressure builds across the Western Isles. We are going to see widespread frost and ice to start the day. Some wintry showers. Becoming drier later but overcast. Winds under 20 mph. Winds will be from variable directions. Temps of -2C to 3C
Saturday – Finally turning milder. Low pressure for the North of Iceland and its associated fronts will bring some spells of rain. It will be an overcast day with temps of 0C to 7C becoming milder as the day goes on. Winds will be gusting 30 to 40 mph. Winds will be from the West and South West.
Sunday – A brisk airflow across the Western Isles with shallow areas of low pressure moving in. We are going to see spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Winds are going to gust 30 to 40 mph possibly gusting 50 mph for a time. Staying on the milder side. Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 5C to 9C
