Good afternoon and welcome to Friday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Friday afternoon we are seeing fine dry weather with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. A few scattered wintry showers. Winds under 10 mph and todays high of 2.2C so far.

Western Isles 3 day weather forecast
Saturday – Low pressure far to our North and its weather fronts will bring milder weather and spells of rain. High pressure slides down to the South. We are going to see an overcast and milder day. Spells of rain which at times will be heavy in places. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph possibly some gusts reaching 50 mph. Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 3C to 9C
Sunday – A brisk airflow across the Western Isles. We are going to see spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Some more persistent rain at times. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph with some gusts reaching 50 mph at times for Uist and Barra. Temps of 2C to 9C
Monday – Shallow area of low pressure moves across Scotland on Monday. Once again we are going to spells of showery rain. These will be wintry at times. Some sunny spells but the cloud mostly dominating. Winds will be from the North East. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Temps of 2C to 9C
