Monday’s forecast – Some rain

Good evening Western Isles on this Sunday evening we are seeing rain across the Western Isles. This rain is heavy in places. Winds under 20 mph. Today’s high of 7.9C

Overnight – We are going to see some heavy and persistent rain. The cloud will dominate. Winds of 20 to 40 mph with some gusts reaching 50 mph for Uist and Barra.

Morning – Further heavy rain and for a time this will turn to sleet and snow. Greatest risk over Lewis and Harris. The cloud will dominate. Some dry spells and the rain gradually becoming lighter later. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Afternoon and Evening – Slowly becoming drier. A few showers and some of these wintry but becoming more scattered. Overcast with a few sunny spells. Dry and colder to end the day. A risk of frost and ice. Winds of 10 to 25 mph.

Winds will be from the North East and North West. Temps of 1C to 9C
