Saturday’s forecast – Blustery winds and showers

Good evening Western Isles on this Friday evening we are seeing some heavy and persistent rain moving across the Western Isles. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph widely gusting 70 mph for parts of Uist and Barra.

Overnight – We are going to see spells of rain which will be heavy and persistent at times. Becoming drier as the night goes on with some showers. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph at times for Uist and Barra gusting 50 to 60 mph. The cloud will dominate with a few clear spells.

Morning and afternoon – A mixture of showers and rain. These will be heavy at times. Some sunny spells in the breaks in the cloud dominating. Winds of 20 t o 40 mph gusting 50 mph at times.

Evening – A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Some of these showers heavy at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 3C to 8C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
