Week ahead forecast – Turning colder with snow risk later.

Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. We had a windy and wet Saturday with a showery Sunday.

Tuesday – it will be a drier day. We are going to see a few scattered showers to start the day. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Risk of frost and ice in the morning. Winds will be from the North and North West under 20 mph. Temps of -1C to 7C

Wednesday – we are going to see a mainly fine and dry day with plenty of sunshine. Some prolonged sunshine with a risk of frost and ice first thing. Winds under 20 mph but gusting to 30 mph into the evening. Winds will be from the North East. Temps of -1C to 6C

Thursday – A windy day with winds gusting 30 to 40 mph at times reaching 50 mph. Rain and showers heavy at times with some sunny spells. Some of the showers will be wintry at times. Winds will be from the North and North East. Temps of 0C to 5C

Friday – Blustery winds with sleet and snow showers. These heavy at times. A lot of uncertainty yet as to how much snow we could see. Cold with some rain times. Winds 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph. Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of -1C to 5C but feeling colder in the wind chill.

Next weekend – Some hints at snow for Saturday and early Sunday. A long way off as yet so a lot will change but I am keeping an eye on it.
