Wednesday’s forecast – Showery and cold

Good evening Western Isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing a mainly fine and dry end to the day. Frost and ice is forming widespread with temps close to or below freezing. Some mist and fog patches. Winds under 20 mph.

Overnight – we are going to see a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Mist and fog in places. Some scattered showers and these will be heavy at times. Winds under 20 mph. Widespread frost and ice.

Morning and afternoon – Some spells of sunshine. Some prolonged spells of sunshine. Frost and ice in places. Some showers heavy at times and these could merge into some longer spells of rain. Winds under 20 mph.

Evening – A mixture of clear skies and cloud. But cloud will build into the evening. We are going to see some rain move in this will be heavy at times and the wind will also increase. Winds gusting 20 to 30 mph.

Winds will be from the North and North East. Temps of -1C to 6C
