Good afternoon and welcome to Friday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Friday afternoon we are seeing rain sleet and snow showers moving across the Western isles. We are also seeing widespread icy conditions. Some decent sunny spells but plenty of cloud. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. Todays high of 4.4C

Western Isles 3 day weather forecast
Saturday – We are going to see a cold day across the Western Isles with rain sleet and snow showers moving across the islands. A widespread frost and ice. Sleet and snow showers will result in snow to high levels and a risk of some cms of snow falling to lower levels in places. Some sunny spells in between. Winds will be from the West and North West. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. Temps of -2C to 5C.
Sunday – a cold day once again with cold air moving across the Western Isles. We are going to see another widespread frost with ice for many as temps struggle to get above freezing. Wintry showers will move across the islands but they are expected to be more scattered than on Saturday. We will see some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Winds will be from variable directions. Temps of -2C to 4C
Monday – Another cold day across the Western Isles. Frost and ice widespread once again. Some sunny spells with wintry showers. A mixture of rain, sleet and snow showers. A weather front will sink across Scotland during the afternoon. Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of -2C to 5C
