Overnight – We are going to see a mainly fine and dry night with a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Some rain pushing into Barra and South Uist. Some frost and ice in places. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
Morning – Rain for Uist and Barra. This becoming heavy at times with some sleet and snow mixed in. Drier for Lewis and Harris with some sunshine but mainly overcast. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.
Now, this is where things get tricky. We are going to see further rain. This will turn to sleet and snow in places but how far north and how much remains the uncertainty. A lot of model variance.
Afternoon and evening – Further rain with some sleet and snow for Uist and Barra. This heavy rain at times. For Lewis and Harris, there is uncertainty as to how far North this will move but we are likely to see rain sleet and snow moving northwards. This will be heavy at times. Not all will see rain and snow. The heaviest of the snow over higher ground with sleet and snow to lower levels. How much is the great uncertainty. Without rainfall, radar is also makes things harder to see how things are unfolding. Winds of 30 to 40 mph.
