Good afternoon and welcome to Friday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Friday afternoon we are seeing a mainly fine and dry end to the day. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. A few scattered showers. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph and today’s high of 4.9C

Saturday – Low pressure sits across the Southern half of the UK and high pressure builds across the Western Isles. We are going to see mainly fine and dry conditions. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. A few scattered showers. Some frost and ice in places. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from the North East. Temps of -1C to 5C
Sunday – Another cold and icy day. We are going to see winds coming from the North East. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. High pressure sits firmly across the islands. Winds will be from the East and North East. Temps of -2C to 5C.
Monday – high pressure strengthens across the islands. We are going to see a cold icy day once again with temps close to or below freezing. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Winds under 20 mph but gusting to 40 mph later. Winds will be from the East. Temps of -1C to 4C
