Tuesday’s forecast – Groundhog day

Good evening Western Isles on this Monday evening we are seeing rain into Barra and South Uist. A mixture of clear skies and cloud and winds have increased. Winds gusting 20 to 30 mph. Today’s high of 4.0C

Overnight – We are going to see a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Cloud increasing as the night goes on. A few scattered showers are possible. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Some gusts reaching 50 mph cannot be ruled out.

Morning and afternoon – Sunshine and cloud. With some decent and prolonged sunshine at times for Lewis and Harris. Some showers and risk of some rain moving into Uist and Barra. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Evening – Clear skies and cloud. A few scattered showers. But most places are dry. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Winds will be from the East and North East. Temps of 1C to 6C but feeling more -3C/ -4C in the wind chill.
