Good afternoon and welcome to Monday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Monday afternoon we are seeing a mainly fine dry evening with clear skies and cloud. Winds increasing gusting 20 to 30 mph. Some rain moving into Uist and Barra. Today’s high of 4.0C

Tuesday – Low pressure West of Ireland. We are going to see a windy day. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. At times reaching 50 mph. Overcast day with some sunshine at times. Some scattered showers. Winds will be from the East. Temps of 3C to 6C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
Wednesday – Low pressure over Ireland again with strong winds. A day of sunshine and cloud with a few scattered showers. winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph at times from the North East. Temps of 1C to 5C feeling colder in the wind chill.
Thursday – Little change with North East winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. Sunshine and cloud with a few wintry showers. Temps of 2C to 5C

A snow and ice warning is also in place for parts of Scotland and Northern England.
A 3 day snow warning has been issued by the Met Office for snow for Scotland for the end of this week
