Weather Watch 5th February 2021

Good afternoon and welcome to Friday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.

On this Friday afternoon we are seeing a few scattered wintry showers but most places are dry with overcast conditions and some clear skies. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting. 50 mph at times. Today’s high of 4.0C

It has been consistently windy here for four days now with the mean wind speed of 29 mph. Granted the top gust of 51 mph isn’t that strong but shows how unrelenting it has been from the same direction. The next week looks exactly the same with some slight easing of the wind on Monday and Tuesday. Image courtesy of Starlings Roost.
