Good afternoon and welcome to Saturday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Saturday afternoon we are seeing some wintry showers. Mainly overcast with some sunny spells. Feeling cold again. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Today’s high of 3.7C

Sunday – Storm Darcy will bring snow and blustery winds to South East England on Sunday. For us in the Western isles the easterly winds persisting. Staying cold with some frost and ice. Some scattered showers. Some of these wintry at times. Some sunshine and cloud. Winds will be from the East. Temps of -1C to 3C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
Monday – Little or no change the Easterly winds continue across the UK. Across the Western Isles we are going to see fine dry conditions with sunshine and cloud. Some decent and prolonged sunshine. Frost and ice widely with some lighter winds. A few scattered showers. Winds will be around 10 to 25 mph from the East and temps of -1C to 3C
Tuesday – The same pattern continues with Easterly winds. It will be a bitterly cold wind. Winds of 10 to 25 mph. Widespread frost and ice. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Maybe even wall to wall sunshine. It should be dry. Temps of -2C to 3C
