On this Tuesday morning, we are seeing some sleet and snow showers this has given additional accumulations across parts of the Western Isles. We are also a mixture of clear skies and cloud with some sunshine. Widespread frost and ice. Overnight low of -1.2C and winds under 20 mph.
Today – A few wintry showers and snow at times. But for most, it will be fine and dry with some decent and prolonged sunshine. Wall to wall sunshine in places. Variable amounts of cloud. Widespread frost and ice especially into the evening. Winds of 10 to 25 mph from the East and North East. Temps of -1C to 3C
Wednesday – Cold and icy with light winds.
Thursday – Cold icy start with gales later for Uist and Barra.
Friday – Strong winds gusting 30 to 40 mph for Lewis and Harris. Gusting 50 to 60 mph for Uist and Barra possibly reaching 70 mph for a time later.
