Good afternoon all. Earlier today the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice for Lewis and Harris from midnight Saturday until 23:59 Saturday evening.
The full warning and latest updates can be found here https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/warnings-and-advice/uk-warnings#?date=2021-02-13&id=53b79c11-963b-437a-b46a-e440e1afe4e2&details
The impacts for the Western Isles is that we are likely to see a couple of cm of snow here in the Western Isles in places. Greatest risk will be over course over high ground. This will be brought about by an approaching weather front moving in off the Atlantic. Behind it we will eventually see milder air. We are also going to see gales as well with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph widely and 60 to 70 mph for Uist and Barra.

There are also road cameras on the Clisham and Barvas Moor which a good way to look at the wintry conditions.
