On this Saturday morning, we are seeing a mixture of clear skies and cloud with a few wintry showers. Winds gusting 40 to 55 mph for Uist and Barra under 25 mph for most of Lewis and Harris. Overnight low of -0.1C

Today – Some rain sleet and snow will move across the islands. This will bring some accumulations to lower levels for a time and the risk of a few cm of snow to higher ground before for most clearing this evening. Some sunny spells but the cloud mainly dominating. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph but for Uist and Barra gusting 60 to possibly 70 mph.
Sunday – heavy rain and showers and windy winds widely 40 to 50 mph gusting 60 mph for Uist and Barra gusting 70 mph and in some exposed locations 80 mph.
Monday – Mild overcast blustery winds and showers.
Tuesday – Strong winds and spells of heavy rain. Staying mild.
