Good afternoon and welcome to Sunday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Sunday afternoon we are seeing spells of rain heavy in places. Plenty of dry spots. The cloud dominating with some hazy sunshine. Winds gusting 30 to 50 mph for Lewis and Harris gusting 70 to 80 mph for Uist and Barra.

Monday – A brisk air flow across the UK it will be much milder. We are going to see winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. At times gusting 50 mph. Staying on the mild side. Mainly overcast with some sunny spells. Rain and scattered showers at times. Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 6C to 9C.
The next area of low pressure is forming to the South West of the UK.
Tuesday – Low pressure scoots past the Western Isles. We are once again going to see strong winds but these are not going to be as strong as the winds are seeing on Sunday. We are going to see heavy morning rain and then into the afternoon it will be sunshine and showers. Winds gusting 40 to 60 mph. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 3C to 9C
Wednesday – Multiple areas of low pressure sit between Scotland and Iceland. We are going to see spells of rain heavy at times. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph at times reaching 60 mph. Heavy and persistent rain is possible. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 4C to 8C
