Met Office yellow weather warning of wind for the Western Isles 17th February 2021

Good evening all. Earlier today the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for winds for the Western Isles from 10:00 Wednesday morning until 22:00 Wednesday evening.

The full warning and latest updates can be found here

Once again the strongest of the winds on Wednesday will be for the Uist and Barra. The most likely part of the Islands to see 60 to 70 mph. Again slightly lighter for the bulk of Lewis and Harris. It will be a very wet day. I will do a full in depth forecast for Wednesday later.

Please do NOT use Western Isles Weather for the protection of life and property please follow local and national government issued warnings and advice. Please have more than one source for weather information in extreme weather, Such as the Met office.
