Good morning Western Isles this is your Tuesday morning brief

On this Tuesday morning. We are seeing rain which is heavy in places and strong winds. In between dry spells and it is a mild morning. Winds gusting 30 to 60 mph. Overnight low of 7.6C

A reminder we are under a Met Office yellow weather warning for wind until 18:00 full warning and latest updates can be found via the Met Office website or app.

Today – Rain heavy at times becoming showery later and clearing for most late this evening. Occasional hail mixed in. Some sunshine in between. Winds gusting 30 to 50 mph reaching 60 to 70 mph at times especially for Uist and Barra. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 5C to 10C

Wednesday – Heavy rain sunny spells and strong winds.

Thursday – Winds easing later and some sunshine becoming drier.

Friday – Gales and further outbreaks of rain.
