Good morning Western Isles this is your Wednesday morning brief

On this Wednesday morning, we are seeing strong winds and spells of rain which are heavy in places. The cloud dominating with some dry spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph. Overnight low of 5.1C

A reminder we are under a Met Office yellow weather warning for wind from 10:00 until 22:00 full warning and latest updates can be found via the Met Office website or app.

Today – Once again spells of rain which will be heavy at times and merge into some longer spells of rain during the morning. Some sunny spells in between. in the showers, we could see some hail mixed in. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph. During the afternoon we could see some gusts reaching 70 mph.

Thursday – Winds easing under 20 mph with showers.

Friday – Further heavy rain and gales again gusting 50 to 60 mph.

Saturday – Blustery winds with sunshine and showers.
