Fridays forecast – That washing machine feeling.

Overnight – A mainly dry start to the night  With some clear spells the cloud will increase and further bands of rain will move in and these becoming heavy and persistent with winds of 20/40 mph.

Morning and afternoon – heavy and at times persistent rain for the morning and early evening with some drier spells. Cloud dominating and strong winds. Winds of 20/40 mph gusting 50/65 mph. Strongest for Uist and Barra. 

Evening – again showers become more scattered with clear skies and cloud. Some of the showers remain on the heavy side. Winds of 10/30 mph. 

Winds will be from the South and South West  Temps of 5C to 9C

Stornoway – 07:47 and 17:33

South Uist – 07:48 and 17:35

Saturday – rain and blustery winds 

Sunday – breezy with showers risk of gales later. 

Monday – blustery showers and breezy.
