On this Friday morning, we are seeing heavy and persistent rain moving across the Western Isles. The cloud dominating with blustery winds. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting to 60 mph for Uist and Barra. Overnight low of 4.0C

Today – Heavy and slow moving persistent rain this morning. This will gradually clear away from the South from late morning onwards. We are going to see rain and showers behind it and these will be more scattered and squally. Some sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph. Strongest during this morning for Uist and Barra. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 5C to 9C

Saturday – Blustery winds with sunshine and showers with some heavy afternoon rain. Risk of late evening gales.

Sunday – Sunshine and showers with blustery winds. Risk of gales.

Monday – Sunshine and showers breezy.
