Good afternoon and welcome to Friday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Friday afternoon we are seeing bands of heavy rain moving across the Western isles with blustery winds and the cloud is dominating. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph for Uist and Barra. Today’s high of 10.1C

Saturday – After a dry start we are going to see multiple fronts moving across the UK. We are going to see an overcast but dry start to the day with overcast conditions and a few sunny spells. The rain will move in and become heavy during the afternoon and evening. Winds of 20 to 40 mph but gusting 50 to 60 mph possibly 70 mph for Uist and Barra into the late evening. A mild day. Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 5C to 10C
Sunday – Will be one of the better days then of late. Low pressure over Iceland. We are going to see brisk airflow across the Western Isles. Staying mild. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph. A day of sunshine and showers. But plenty of dry conditions. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 4C to 9C
Monday – The next area of low pressure builds to the West of the UK and will bring strong winds on Tuesday. First we will see another day of brisk winds and spells of scattered showers these will be heavy at times. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Staying mild. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 4C to 9C
