Sunday’s forecast – Still windy but easing with showers.

Good evening Western Isles on this Saturday evening we are seeing bands of heavy and persistent rain with squally showers. Clear skies and cloud in between. Winds gusting 50 to 60 mph for Uist and Barta. Some gusts have reached 75 mph. 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph for Uist and Barra. Today’s high of 10.1C

Overnight – Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph at times reaching 60 mph in the early hours. Clear skies and showers. Winds easing a little into the later evening.

Morning and afternoon – Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Some showers and these will be heavy at times possibly squally. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Evening – The showers becoming more scattered as the evening goes on. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 5C to 10C
