Good morning Western Isles this is your Tuesday morning brief

On this Tuesday morning, we are seeing a windy start to the day with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph and 60 mph for Uist and Barra. Heavy rain and the cloud is dominating. Overnight low of 6.7C
A reminder we are under a Met Office yellow weather warning for wind until 18:00 this evening.

Today – We are going to see further rounds of rain which will be heavy and persistent at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph. Some gusts this morning reaching 70 mph. The rain turning showery later. some sunny spells but the cloud mainly dominating.

Wednesday – Overcast and scattered showers. Some sunny spells winds gusting 50 to 60 mph.

Thursday – Winds easing sunshine and cloud.

Friday – Brisk winds sunshine and showers.
