Good afternoon and welcome to Tuesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Tuesday afternoon we are seeing rain and showers. These heavy in places but we are seeing increasing amounts of sunshine. Some prolonged spells of sunshine. Highest gust so far of 70 mph. Today’s high of 10.7C so far.

Wednesday – Low pressure sits between us and Iceland. We are going to see brisk winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. Rain and showers with some sunny spells. These showers heavy at times. Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 6C to 10C
Thursday – Low pressure clears away and we are going to see a brisk airflow across the UK. We are going to see a day of sunshine and cloud. A few scattered showers and these will be heavy at times. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Winds will be from the South and West. Temps of 5C to 9C
Friday – High pressure builds across the Southern half of the UK. Brisk winds will continue across Scotland. We are going to see a mainly overcast conditions with some rain and showers. Some sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 7C to 10C
