Good afternoon and welcome to Sunday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Sunday afternoon we are seeing fine dry conditions for most. Some light rain and drizzle. Sunshine and cloud but more cloud over Lewis and Harris. Best of the sunshine for Uist and Barra. Winds under 20 mph. Today’s high so far of 9.8C
The rest of the day will be mainly fine and dry with sunshine and cloud. Some clear skies after sunset. Becoming a little more breezy. Some light rain and drizzle but for most staying dry.

Monday – High pressure continues to dominate the weather. A fine and dry day across the Western Isles with plenty of sunshine. Prolonged sunshine for most. Overnight cloud clearing away but still variable amounts of cloud. Winds becoming lighter and slight risk of some frost and ice evening. Winds will be from the South and South East under 20 mph. Temps of 3C to 10C
Tuesday – Little change for Tuesday across the Western Isles with high pressure firmly in charge. A day of blue skies and sunshine variable amounts of cloud. Some mist and fog in places. A risk of frost and ice. Winds under 20 mph. Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 1C to 10C
Wednesday – A colder day. We are going to see light winds under 20 mph from the North and North East. High pressure remains in charge. A day of sunshine and cloud. The cloud increases as the day goes on. Some light rain drizzle. Winds will be from variable directions. Temps of 2C to 8C
