Good afternoon and welcome to Saturday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Saturday afternoon we are seeing the cloud dominating with spells of rain heavy in spots. Drier for Barra for now. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. Today’s high so far of 7.5C
Further rain and showers which will be heavy at times this evening. Winds of 10 to 30 mph and staying mild.

Sunday – High pressure hangs on for the South of the UK. But across the North of the UK weather fronts move in. In the Western Isles we are going to see overcast conditions with rain and showers for most of the day. The cloud will dominate with some sunny spells. Winds of 10 to 30 mph winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 6C to 10C
Monday – High pressure still dominates across much of the UK but weather fronts await out in the Atlantic. In the Western Isles we are going to see an overcast day with the cloud dominating. Some rain and drizzle mainly light rain. Some sunny spells but once again largely overcast. Winds under 20 mph. Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 5C to 9C
Tuesday – Now lots of uncertainty as yet for the middle of next week. Weather fronts sit across the UK and a deepening low pressure system 984 mb. This is expected to bring strong winds and rain later in the week. A dry start to the day with plenty of cloud. Some sunny spells before the cloud increases later. We are going to see light winds in the morning before gales and severe gales moving in later. I will keep you updated on this. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 5C to 8C
