Tuesday – After a dry start to the day with sunshine and cloud it will be a breezy start to the day. As a low pressure system moves past the Western Isles we are going to see heavy and persistent rain moving across the Western Isles. This will be accompanied by winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. Reaching 60 mph possibly 70 mph for Uist and Barra and the strongest of the winds will be later in the evening. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 5C to 9C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
Wednesday – Another area of low pressure will move to our South At this stage. It will be a wet day across the Western Isles with spells of heavy and slow moving rain. Some sunny spells in the breaks in the cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph, Winds will be mainly from the West and South West but for a time coming from the South East. Temps of 2C to 8C
Thursday – A day of sunshine and showers but some heavier spells of rain moving in during the late afternoon and evening but turning showery behind. Some sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 55 mph. Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 3C to 9C
Friday – A day of sunshine and showers. We are expecting the rain not to be as heavier as earlier in the week. Some decent spells of sunshine. Winds of 20 to 40 mph from the South West. Temps of 4C to 9C
Next weekend – A weekend of sunshine and showers is on the cards. Staying breezy with brisk winds but on the mild side.
