Friday’s forecast – More squally showers


Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing rain and squally showers sweeping across the Western Isles. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph. Today’s high of 7.5C so far.

Overnight – We are going to see rain and squally showers moving across the Western Isles. Some thundery showers with hail and sleet mixed in. In between clear skies. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph at times.

Morning and afternoon – A day of sunshine and showers. Some of these heavy and squally at times. Some of the showers thundery with hail mixed in. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph. Some decent and prolonged sunshine in the breaks in the cloud.

Evening – Again further squally showers some early evening sunny spells and the showers becoming less frequent in the evening. Clear skies and scattered showers. Winds under 20 mph some gusts reaching 30 mph.

Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 1C to 7C feeling colder in the wind chill.
