Good afternoon and welcome to Friday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Friday afternoon we are seeing rain and sleet showers with some snow moving across the islands. The cloud is dominating. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Today’s high of 6.8C
This evening with see further sleet and snow showers with brisk winds and risk of frost and ice as temps drop further.

Saturday – Low pressure sits to the North. We are going to see a day of sunshine and showers across the Western Isles. These will be heavy at times. Possibly squally at times. Some decent spells of sunshine. Some of the showers could be thundery with hail mixed in. Winds will be from the North West. Temps of 4C to 9C. Some frost and ice in the early morning.
Sunday – High pressure starts to build in across the Western Isles with weather fronts moving across the UK. We are going to see some rain and showers. Some of these squally at times. The cloud will dominate with a few sunny spells. Becoming drier later. Winds will be from the North West. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. Temps of 3C to 8C
Monday – high pressure builds across the UK. A warm front pushes in later in the day from the West. The cloud will dominate with some sunny spells. Rain and scattered showers later in the day but for most of the day time should be dry. Winds will be from the North West under 20 mph shifting South East later. Temps of 4C to 9C
