Good morning Western Isles this is your morning brief

On this Saturday morning, we are seeing a wet morning with rain and sleet moving across the islands. The cloud is dominating. We have seen an overnight low of 0.7C frost and ice in places but things are becoming milder already this morning. Winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph.

Today – A mixed bag of a day. Spells of rain and sleet in some more organised bands this morning. Heavy at times. Increasing amounts of sunshine for the afternoon and early evening. But scattered squally showers. These heavy with hail mixed in. Possibly thundery at times. Winds speeds will vary throughout the day. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph from the North West. Temps of 4C to 8C

Sunday – sunshine and scattered showers with blustery winds. Winds easing later.

Monday – Lighter winds and drier.

Tuesday – Overnight rain clears and becoming fine dry and sunny later.
