Weather Watch 13th March 2021

Good afternoon and welcome to Saturday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.

On this Saturday afternoon we are seeing rain and showers. These heavy with sleet and hail mixed in. The cloud is dominating with some sunny spells. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high so far of 8.0C

Sunday – High pressure sits to the South of the UK. Weather fronts move in from the West. It will be drier and bright for Lewis and harris on Sunday. With a few scattered showers. For Uist and Barra. More frequent spells of rain which will be heavy at times. The cloud will dominate. Winds of 20 to 40 mph but easing under 20 mph to end the day. Winds will be from the North West. Temps of 3C to 9C

Monday – High pressure builds in further across the UK with warm fronts across Ireland and northern Ireland. For the Western Isles we are going to see overcast day with some sunny spells. Winds under 20 mph. Some light rain and drizzle pushing in later in the day. Winds will be from variable directions. Temps of 3C to 9C

Tuesday – High pressure dominates the weather across the UK with low pressure to the East of the UK and weather fronts sit across parts of the UK. In the Western Isles we are going to see an overcast night with rain and this will be heavy at times. We are going to see a day of sunshine and blue skies. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Winds gusting 10 to 30 mph. Winds will be from the North West. Temps of 5C to 11C
