Weather Watch 14th March 2021

Good afternoon and welcome to Sunday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.

On this Sunday afternoon we are seeing the cloud dominant. A few well scattered showers these heavy in spots. Some sunny spells. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high so far of 8.3C

Monday – High pressure attempts to build across the UK. Weather fronts linger across the UK. For us in the Western isles we are going to see a cloud dominated day. Some sunny spells. Early morning mist and low cloud. Spells of rain will move in during the afternoon and some showers for the evening. These will be heavy at times. Some clear spells. Winds under 20 mph. Winds will be from the North West but will shift to come from the South and South West later. Temps of 3C to 10C

Tuesday – High pressure strengthens across the UK. A cold front moves across the country southwards. We are going to see some overnight rain and blustery winds as we move through the early hours of Tuesday. We are going to see a fine and dry day once the rain has cleared. Some decent and prolonged sunshine with variable amounts of cloud. The cloud will increase into the evening. Winds will come from the North West. Temps of 5C to 10C

Wednesday – High pressure is firmly in control of the weather across the UK. A weakening warm front sits near ireland. For the Western Isles we are expecting to see a cloud dominated day. Winds will be light under 20 mph. A few scattered showers. Some mist and low cloud. Winds will be from the North West. Temps of 5C to 11C
