Good afternoon and welcome to Sunday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Sunday afternoon we are seeing a mainly fine and dry afternoon with sunshine and cloud. Some light rain and drizzle and the cloud is dominating. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high so far of 10.4C`

Monday – High pressure sits across the UK but a brisk airflow further North. In the Western Isles we are going to see an overcast day with some scattered showers. Some sunny spells. Winds will be from the West and South West. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Temps of 6C to 11C
Tuesday – Brisk airflow sets up across the UK and a cold front moves in from the West with a new area of low pressure forms overnight into Wednesday. We are going to see another overcast day with some sunny spells later. Spells of rain and these will be heavy later. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph possibly reaching 60 mph for Uist and Barra. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 4C to 10C becoming colder into the evening.
Wednesday – The low pressure system clears away and sits near Norway by Wednesday. The cold front moves away from the UK. In the Western Isles we are going to see a day of sunshine and showers. These will be heavy at times. Some decent spells of sunshine in between the showers. Some of the showers could have hail and sleet mixed in. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 4C to 9C
