Wednesday’s forecast – Squally showers and blustery winds.

Good evening Western Isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing rain and showers moving across Lewis and Harris. Drier for Uist and Barra. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds gusting 50 to 60 mph.

Overnight – We are going to see clear skies and cloud. Squally showers these heavy at times. Some clear skies in between. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning – A mixture of sunshine and squally showers these heavy at times. Possibly with hail mixed in. Some decent spells of sunshine in the breaks in the cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Afternoon – A band of heavy rain will move across the Western Isles. This will be slow moving. Some sunny spells after the band of rain clearing. Winds of 20 to 40 mph at times reaching 50 mph.

Evening – Clear skies and cloud with some showers heavy at times. Possibly squally showers. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 5C to 9C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
