Good afternoon and welcome to Wednesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Wednesday afternoon we are seeing rain and showers moving across the islands. These are heavy in places. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph and today’s high of 8.6C

Thursday – Low pressure sits to the far North West. Weather fronts move across the islands. We are going to see a day of sunshine and showers. These will be heavy at times possibly with some hail mixed. Some dry spells on between with some decent and prolonged sunshine. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph at times. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 3C to 10C
Friday – Weather fronts continue to move across the islands. A day of sunshine and showers with brisk winds across the islands. Some of these showers heavy and squally at times. Some decent and prolonged sunshine and the showers becoming more scattered. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. From the West and South West. Temps of 1C to 5C a risk of some frost and ice in sheltered spots.
Saturday – A deep area of low pressure sits far to the West of the UK 961 mb this will bring strong winds and heavy rain later on Saturday. A brief ridge of high pressure builds across the UK. it will be fine and dry overcast start to the day across the islands. We could see some wintry showers during the early hours. Into the evening some heavy and persistent rain will move across the islands later. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph. Into the late evening winds gusting 60 to 65 mph.
