Good evening Western isles on this Friday evening we are seeing spells of heavy rain moving across the Western Isles. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds under 20 mph and today’s high of 7.3C
Overnight – We are going to see some sleet and snow showers. A cold night with some of the showers falling as rain. Some frost and ice in places for a time. Winds of 10 to 20 mph gusting 40 mph for Uist and Barra.
Morning – Mainly fine and dry with clear skies and sunshine with plenty of cloud. A few scattered showers. Winds of 10 to 20 mph gusting 40 mph.
Afternoon – After a dry start the cloud will increase with rain moving in from the South and it will be heavy. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph.
Evening – Spells of heavy rain will move across the Western Isles. This will be persistent at times especially as we move into Sunday. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph. Some gusts reaching 70 mph cannot be ruled out for Uist and Barra.
Winds will be from the North West and shifting to come from the West and South from mid morning tomorrow. Temps of 1C to 9C
