The week ahead forecast – unsettled start sunny end.

Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. It has been a wet and windy weekend with winds gusting 50 to 60 mph widely.

Tuesday – We are going to see a windy night with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. This will ease during Tuesday. Spells of rain will be heavy and persistent for most of the day on Tuesday. It will become lighter at times. The cloud will dominate. Winds will be from the South West but shift to come from the North and North West later. Temps of 4C to 11C

Wednesday – We are going to see some overnight rain but this should clear. We are going to see a fine and dry day with sunshine and cloud. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Variable amounts of cloud. Winds will be from the North East. Temps of 3C to 10C

Thursday – A fine and dry day with wall to wall sunshine for most variable amounts of cloud. Winds under 20 mph from the North East. Temps of 2C to 9C

Friday – Another fine and dry day with sunshine and a little more cloud. Winds under 20 mph from the North East. Temps of 4C to 9C

Next weekend – A fine and dry Saturday with plenty of sunshine. A chance of some wintry showers for Easter Sunday. A long way off yet but will keep you posted.
