Good morning Western Isles this is your Morning brief.

On this Wednesday morning, we are seeing are seeing further spells of rain which are heavy in planes. Some lighter rain and drizzle. Some dry spots and the cloud is dominating. Winds of 20/40 mph. Overnight low of 6.2C

Today – a wet start to the day for many with some heavy rain and drizzle. This will slowly sink southwards as the day goes on. Into the Uist and Barra for the afternoon. Behind it mainly fine and dry with sunshine and cloud. Scattered showers. Winds will be from the North East. Temps of 3C to 7C

Thursday, Friday and Saturday – plenty of blue skies and sunshine. Even wall to walk sunshine for some. Variable amounts of cloud.

The end of this week and early next still looks cold with wintry showers and sleet and snow.
