On this Thursday afternoon we are seeing fine and dry conditions across the Western Isles with sunshine and cloud. Winds are light. Today’s high of 8.0C so far.

Friday – High pressure dominates the weather across the UK. A chance of some frost and ice in the early morning across the Western Isles. The rest of Friday will be fine and dry with sunshine and cloud. Winds will be light with clear skies and temps drop into the evening. Winds of 10 to 20 mph from the North East. Temps of 3C to 10C
Saturday – High pressure sits across the UK. We are going to see a fine and dry day with sunshine and cloud. Winds will be light under 20 mph. Winds will be from the North West under 20 mph. The odd shower cannot be ruled out but most places should be dry. Temps of 3C to 11C
Sunday – The start of the cold plunge for Sunday. Cold air starts to move down from the North with weather fronts bring rain heavy at times in the middle of the day. After a dry overcast start to the day. Rain sleet and snow showers will move across the islands during Sunday these will become squally at times. Winds will be from the West and South West but turning North and North West later around 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 to 60 mph. Temps of 2C to 8C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
