Good evening Western Isles on this Tuesday evening We are seeing further spells of sleet and snow showers moving across the islands. Drier for the Uist and Barra. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Today’s high of 4.6C

Overnight – We are going to see a mixture of clear skies and cloud with some wintry showers. These will be heavy at times with sleet and snow mixed in. Frost and ice in places. Winds of 10 to 30 mph and overnight low down to -4.0C

Morning and afternoon – A mixture of sunshine and cloud with scattered sleet and snow showers. Some of these falling as rain for a time. The cloud will increase as the day goes on. Becoming milder into the mid afternoon. Winds under 20 mph for most but some gusts reaching 30 mph at times.

Evening – It will be an overcast evening with the cloud dominating. Some light rain and drizzle will move across the islands as we go into the late evening. Some hazy sunshine but mainly the cloud will dominate. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be from the North West but will shift to come in from the South West by late afternoon. Temps of -4C to 7C
