Thursday’s forecast – Milder but gales

Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening we seeing rain and drizzle moving across the Western Isles. Some sleet and snow. In between some clear skies and plenty of cloud. Winds under 20 mph today’s high of 5.8C

Overnight – We are going to see spells of rain moving across the Western Isles this will be heavy at times. Some clear spells but the cloud will mainly dominate. Winds will increase gusting 20 to 40 mph some gusts could reach 50 mph.

Morning – A band of rain will move across the Western Isles accompanied by strong winds and heavy rain. It will move southwards and clear the islands by the mid afternoon. We could see some hail mixed and a chance of these being thundery. Cloud dominating with some sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 moh gusting 50 mph.

Afternoon and evening – Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. But staying windy with scattered showers and these will be heavy at times. By late evening it will turn colder with some wintry showers later. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Winds will be from the West and South West coming in from the North West later. Temps of 0C to 9C
